Life as an art form

Life as an art form

Hey there Big-Heart,

I've always thought of life as an art form. The other day, I was chatting with a new friend I invited in for a drink (ended up being water, it was so hot!). My son had some new buddies over, and I hadn't met this mum before.

We got talking about our interests and what we do. I mentioned my first job as an art teacher and how I'm now a life coach. I see them as connected - life as a work of art.

She raised an eyebrow and asked, "What do you mean? How are they connected?" I realized she hadn't thought about it before, and it wasn't obvious to her.

That's when I realized I often take this perspective for granted. It might not be so clear to everyone (no judgment - different strokes for different folks).

So, I tried explaining my view:

Life has ingredients or elements, like when you make art or bake a cake. It's your surroundings, the people around you, what you believe, what you eat, and more.

And you have the power to choose these elements and how you positively engage with them every day to create what you want.

But it often takes creating space to step back, reflect, and figure out what you truly want.

Tash x
